We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Blair House Care Home.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity.

Your main responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily living activities, providing emotional support and companionship, and helping residents maintain independence where possible.

You will also work closely with the nursing and healthcare team to monitor residents' well-being and report any changes in their health or behaviour.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and be respectful to residents and colleagues alike.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
