About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities to enhance automation outputs
  • Provide support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches
  • Identify root causes of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions
  • Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs

Requirements

  • Minimum ONC Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
  • First-hand experience in maintaining automation equipment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
  • Ability to communicate complex issues effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
