Milk Tanker Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable Class 1 HGV driver for our late night milk tanker collection role.
About the Role: As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for collecting milk from local farms and delivering it to the dairy. This will involve driving a milk tanker in the evening and early morning hours, with occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection of Milk: You will be responsible for collecting milk from local farms, ensuring that all milk is collected safely and efficiently.
- Delivery to Dairy: You will deliver the collected milk to the dairy, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the milk tanker, including regular checks and servicing.
- Communication: You will maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing updates on your progress and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Class 1 HGV Licence: You must hold a valid Class 1 HGV licence and have a good understanding of the roads and traffic laws.
- DCPC Card: You must hold a valid DCPC card and be able to provide proof of this at interview.
- Experience: You will have previous experience as a Class 1 HGV driver, ideally with milk tanker experience.
- Flexibility: You must be flexible and able to work a varied shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
- Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring that all milk is delivered safely and on time.
