About the Role:

The Mechanical Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repairs for mechanical equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and delivering high-quality service to clients across the UK and occasionally globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, service, maintain, repair, overhaul, test, and re-test tools, jigs, fixtures, lifting, and manipulating equipment according to customer schedules.
  • Conduct visual inspections of client equipment, recording damaged or missing parts according to OEM specifications.
  • Collate kits of parts for assembly and highlight any missing components to the manager.
  • Prepare parts for subcontract processes, including deburring, polishing, and bead blasting.
  • Assemble precision components from mechanical assembly drawings using various workshop tools.
  • Attend performance meetings with managers and customers.
  • Maintain adherence to company quality systems.
  • Deliver services with a high degree of skill, care, and diligence, following industry and customer best practices.

Requirements:

  • A time-served mechanical engineer or graduate with relevant experience.
  • Ability to work away from home when required.
  • Effective administrative skills, including written and oral communication, and organisational abilities.
  • Capacity to liaise with managers to meet customer demands.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering customer requirements on time.

Salary Range: £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
