SSEMHA Assistant - KS1/KS2 Education Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join our team and provide support to students with SEMH needs in our Abingdon location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs, preferably in a KS1/KS2 setting.
About the Job:- The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide support to students aged 4-11 years old.
- This role involves working with SEN students who require regular visits and sessions to cope with learning difficulties and mental illness.
- You will be required to assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons and developing your child-related experience portfolio by gaining insight into KS1/KS2 education.
- Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs.
- Work as part of a team to implement behavior management strategies.
- Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
- Support students with personal care where necessary.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification or proven experience in an EYFS or KS1/KS2 setting.
- A caring individual with energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work as part of a team, alongside teaching and support staff.
- Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs.
- Estimated salary: £21,992 - £23,500 per annum (based on £417.50 - £450 per week).
- Full-time position, 8:30am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday.
