We are seeking a skilled Nurse Team Leader to join our care team at Independent Living Solutions Ltd. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to make a real difference in the life of a young boy with complex needs.



Salary and Benefits

  • The successful candidate will be paid £25-£30 per hour, dependant on experience.
  • Ongoing training and support will be provided to ensure that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
  • You will also be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata and pension benefits (subject to qualifying status).
  • A free DBS check will be provided as part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our clients.


Job Description

This challenging yet rewarding role requires an individual with extensive experience in staff management, leadership, and administration. The successful candidate will work closely with Elijah's mother and care team to ensure that he receives high-quality, timely care.



Key Responsibilities

  • Run the care team, monitor care team competence, update care plans, and ensure that Elijah receives high-quality, timely care.
  • Manage the rota, including finding cover for any absences and being on call for any staff shortages.
  • Provide general support to the care team and lead by example.
  • Work clinical shifts to maintain an up-to-date understanding of Elijah's day-to-day care needs.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Experience working in a family home and supporting children with complex care needs, including epilepsy, PEG feeding, suctioning, and manual handling.
  • A calm and proactive approach, with the ability to bring enthusiasm and promote Elijah's learning, care, and independence in the home and community.
  • An ability to advocate for Elijah's social, emotional, physical, and care needs.
