Airfield Operations Specialist Role Overview

About the Job:

This role involves ensuring airfield operations meet the highest safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking regular inspections of runway, taxiway, and apron areas. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines and ATC, to identify and resolve potential issues.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of airside risks, hazards, control measures, and mitigations. A valid driving license and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake regular inspections of airfield infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Work closely with the Aerodrome Operations Team to identify and resolve airfield-related issues
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines and ATC, to maintain open communication channels
  • Conduct training sessions to educate staff on airside procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitor airfield conditions to prevent accidents and incidents
  • Assist in the development and implementation of airfield operation procedures

Requirements:

  • Current knowledge of airside operations and regulations
  • Valid driving license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
