We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Liability Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As an Associate/Senior Associate, you will work on Professional Liability cases and be part of our highly regarded Professional Liability team.

The team is headed up by Eamon Mooney, a leading individual in professional negligence work. We are interested in speaking to candidates with Professional Indemnity experience or Commercial Litigation experience.

Team

Our Professional Liability team handles all areas of professional liability and deals with claims of all sizes and complexity. We work with insurers who underwrite some of the world's largest financial institutions, global law firms, and the 'Big Four' accounting firms.

Clients

  • Insurers
  • Self-Insureds
  • Construction professionals
  • IT professionals
  • Insolvency practitioners
  • Solicitors

Cases

  • Professional indemnity claims against solicitors, construction professionals, and IT consultants as well as insurance/policy disputes.

Required experience

  • 5+ years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience
  • Familiar with professional indemnity policies and coverage issues, or alternatively experience within Commercial Litigation
  • Experience of assisting on large cases in a team environment
  • Previous client contact and attendance at business development events
  • Experience of arbitration and negotiation
