Job Overview:

As a Substation Engineering Expert, you will be responsible for leading and working on various Power Utility and Substation Engineering projects. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in substation design, including general arrangements, equipment plans, elevations, and sections.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in substation engineering. They will be proficient in AutoCAD and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong ability to perform project ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
  • Lead substation physical electrical design, developing site and equipment layouts, elevations, buswork, ground grids, lightning shielding, material lists, etc.
  • Perform design studies and demonstrate a good working knowledge of physical electrical substation design.
  • Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist in site visits and station walkdowns, estimating, and attending project meetings.
