We are seeking a skilled Digital Forensics Technician to join our team at West Midlands Police. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an imagery recovery and processing service from various digital devices in a laboratory environment.

The role involves editing video sequences and still images, as well as managing forensic exhibits to ensure continuity, confidentiality, and security.

As a Digital Forensics Technician, you will understand and follow Digital Forensic good practice methodologies to acquire and process imagery based evidence. You will also edit, produce edited sequences and still images, video enhancement, and copy facilities of imagery based evidence.

In this 24-month apprenticeship programme with a 27-month contract of employment, you will gain a Level 4 Digital Forensics Technician qualification with on-the-job competency training and classroom-based and online learning delivered by Blue Light Digital.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
