Practice Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Nurse Manager to join our dynamic team at Widcombe Surgery. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance appraisals, and professional development sessions to ensure staff engagement and growth.
- Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the delivery of nursing services, including health screening and promotion clinics, nurse-led care, and chronic disease management.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for patients with long-term conditions, ensuring personalized and effective management.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of patient care and clinical activities.
- Coordinate and manage vaccination programs, health screenings, and chronic disease clinics.
- Develop, review, and update clinical policies and protocols, ensuring alignment with current regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate infection risks within the practice.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on infection control practices and protocols.
- Oversee the management of hazardous substances, ensuring compliance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Lead and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and risk management initiatives.
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Extensive experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably within a general practice or primary care setting.
- Expertise in long-term condition management and chronic disease care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
