About the Role

The Almshouse Association is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Member Services team as a Charity Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our members and their residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional support to our member charities, responding to their enquiries and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with our members to complete Charity Health Check forms, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to effectively manage their almshouses.
  • Identify and support charities in difficulty, providing guidance and expertise to help them overcome challenges and maintain their independence.
  • Contribute to the development of our web-based service for responding to accommodation enquiries, ensuring that it meets the needs of our members and their residents.
  • Monitor the Members Forum and alert the team to any issues that require attention, ensuring that our members receive the support they need.
  • Coordinate our Panel of Consultants, checking their credentials and maintaining relationships to ensure that our members receive the best possible support.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with arrangements for events, including our training course for trustees, seminars for trustees and clerks, and our Members Day.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access is essential.
  • Knowledge of Subscriber CRM would be preferable.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint is also preferable.
  • Experience of managing events and projects would be an advantage.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of approximately £30,000 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.
  • 28 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays (FTE).
  • Hybrid working, with a post based at our Wokingham office and part home-based.
  • A full-time position, although part-time would be considered.
