About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive reliability test plans for complex ophthalmic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reliability test plans to ensure the continued longevity and durability of our products.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and design and execute HALT/HASS tests to identify design weaknesses that could impact reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions and design improvements.
  • Develop reliability demonstration tests and analyze data to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in test development or validation, preferably in the medical device or automotive industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Optical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong background in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools (HALT/HASS, ALT, RDT, ESS, Weibull).
  • Analytical, systematic, and pro-active.
  • Pragmatic and confident communicator who can influence others.
