Lead User Experience Designer, Streaming Media

Roku is a pioneering streaming media company seeking an exceptional Senior Interaction Designer to craft innovative user experiences for its 75 million users worldwide. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in front-end development to collaborate effectively with engineers and drive the creation of top-tier designs that increase business KPIs while upholding key principles such as simplicity, usability, and delight.
This role requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail to ensure our products set the standard for excellence in the streaming industry. Main Responsibilities:
- Explore design directions, analyzing the pros and cons of each, to arrive at creative, thoughtful design solutions
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, specs, and/or lightweight prototypes
- Provide and receive feedback in regular design critiques with your peers
- Balance qualitative and quantitative data to make user-centered design decisions
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and build unique experiences that inform, entertain, and delight our customers
About You:
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience as an interaction designer
- Proficiency in Figma
- A passion for the end-to-end user experience
- Good analytical skills for thinking through complex interaction paths and use cases
- A technical or analytical educational background
- Familiarity with the streaming TV experience and TV UI design
Salary Estimate:$120,000 - $150,000 per year
