**Role Overview:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Academic Language Support Specialist to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As an Academic Language Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students in language development and literacy skills across Key Stage 1 and 2.

The ideal candidate will hold a strong understanding of language development and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support students with phonics, reading, writing, and comprehension through individual and small group sessions
  • Assist in the development of speech and language skills, fostering a love for language
  • Help students with spelling, grammar, and vocabulary building
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver lessons and provide tailored interventions for students who need extra help
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that learning needs are met

**Requirements:**

  • Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Linguistics or a related field from a top UK university
  • Strong understanding of language development and a passion for supporting young learners
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children
  • Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to fostering students' academic growth

**Salary:** £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

**Location:** Esher
