**Role Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Academic Food Educator to join our team at Equitas Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for cooking and nutrition. Our ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology, with a focus on practical skills, food science, and nutrition.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Deliver high-quality lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and inspire students to explore culinary arts and healthy eating.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure their development and success.

• Ensure the safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials in the classroom.

• Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs or school-wide events promoting food and health.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson planning.

**Essential Requirements:**

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Proven experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting is desirable, though early career teachers are welcome to apply.

• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology, with a focus on practical skills, food science, and nutrition.

• A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop valuable life skills.

• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
