Triage Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Greater London Authority is seeking a highly skilled Triage Operations Manager to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with possibilities of further extensions. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with a mix of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the public liaison triage team and operations efficiently and effectively, ensuring the Authority meets its service standards.
  • Support the Mayor's and GLA's process of engagement, ensuring open communication with Londoners about the Mayor's and GLA's strategies, policies, and decisions.
  • Implement procedures, such as complaints and accessible communications, and make recommendations to ensure procedures and policies remain relevant.
  • Liaise with the public liaison triage team across the Authority to ensure a coordinated and thorough public information service.

Requirements:

  • Proven line management experience.
  • Evidence of delivering high-quality customer service and experience with change management and business collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with senior-level stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions within tight deadlines.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams to foster inclusive, collaborative, and creative work environments.
  • Experience managing crisis communications issues in a busy political environment, including complaint handling procedures.
