Reed Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of a leading organisation based in the UK. This senior position will aim to maximise the impact of the financial resources, enabling the delivery of impactful work that meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the year-end process, including the preparation of statutory financial statements and overseeing the audit process.
  • Manage day-to-day banking arrangements and effective cash flow planning and management.
  • Ensure effective income and expenditure tracking processes for grants, projects, and restricted funds.
  • Lead and develop the Finance team during a period of change, ensuring the delivery of timely and high-quality finance support across the organisation.
  • Develop accounting systems and processes that underpin clear, robust, and high-quality financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Ensure strong and effective financial controls within the organisation and department.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information, analysis, and insight across the organisation, including income, expenditure, balance sheet, cash flow, and budget holder information.
  • Assist in long-term financial planning and oversee the production of detailed annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage the trust's investment portfolio, ensuring it meets the investment policy objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified professional accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Strong experience in managing and developing a finance function within an organisation.
  • Excellent team leadership skills and the ability to work corporately and collaboratively.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and experience with statutory accounts production.
  • Proficient in using financial software applications, spreadsheets, and MS Office.
  • Good planning and communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in an understandable format.
