Job Opportunity - Commercial Growth Project Engineer

The successful Commercial Growth Project Engineer will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements for storage of oil and chemical products and developing timely, cost-effective, and compliant project proposals in response to Commercial Enquiries.

  • Commercial growth: Develop project proposals that meet customer needs, ensuring safety and environmental risks are assessed and mitigated. Ensure new services offered are within regulatory limits.
  • Technology (Eng/Projects): Apply engineering codes and standards, request authorization for deviations, and assist with the Management of Change process. Assist the Project Manager with programme planning and management.
  • HSSE: Work to standards and procedures for Safety Critical Tasks, ensuring compliance with COMAH requirements.
  • Finance: Maintain cost control and forecasting systems, providing budget proposals and management information for monthly reporting.

To be successful in this role, we require experience of:

  • PSSR, LOLER, DSEAR (ATEX), PSSR, PUWER, COMAH, and CDM knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as BS EN 14015 / API 570/650/653 and BS EN 60079.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional responses to customer enquiries, with a working knowledge of problem-solving and an outcome-oriented approach.
  • A full Driving Licence; project supervision and report writing are also essential.
  • Considerable experience in the oil industry or similarly regulated environment, ideally COMAH.
  • Experience in managing ageing assets is desirable.
