Surgical Ward Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Ward Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals at Circle Health Group Ltd, a leading provider of private healthcare in the UK. About the Role

This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours a week, requiring a flexible shift pattern. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within a dynamic team environment, providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to deliver patient-centered care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants, and colleagues.
  • Conduct phlebotomy duties and ECG recordings as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a culture of quality improvement and patient safety within the ward environment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Care Certificate.
  • Able to perform phlebotomy duties and ECG recordings.
  • Working in a pre-assessment environment an advantage.
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
  • Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
