Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project production from inception to completion, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to deliver results-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project production from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Prepare project management plans, appointment documents, financial management, invoice drafting, report writing, calculation, specification, drawing, and PDS/Civil 3D model production.
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to suit client needs.
  • Provide leadership and management to project resources, delegating workload, monitoring delivery, and helping to train and mentor other team members.
  • Liaise with co-professionals and clients through meetings and conference calls, contributing to information production and execution programmes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience compiling submissions to UK Building Control.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in civil engineering design solutions across highways and drainage design.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of relevant regulations and guidance, including the most up-to-date versions of:
    • Manual for Streets
    • Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
    • Sewers for Adoption
    • SuDS Manual
    • National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
  • Experience with PDS, Micro Drainage, and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferable).
  • Knowledge and experience of the application of the CDM Regulations.
  • Ability to plan and manage personal and team effectiveness.
  • Competent and confident in giving presentations internally and to clients and co-professionals.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of professional risks, including actions necessary to satisfy the terms of appointments, warranties, and insurances.
