About the Role

We are delighted to be working with a leading independent firm in the sector who are seeking an Accounts and Audit Senior to join their growing team. This forward-thinking firm is known for providing a fantastic platform for development and is looking for an ambitious and experienced individual to undertake a varied role comprising a mixture of audit, accounts, and tax work.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion for a variety of clients across different sectors.
  2. Preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  3. Reviewing and finalizing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  4. Conducting risk assessments and ensuring audit plans are designed to address identified risks.
  5. Providing technical advice and guidance on accounting and audit matters.
  6. Ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  8. Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including on-the-job training and performance reviews.
  9. Reporting directly to Partners and Managers on audit progress and findings.

Requirements

  1. ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in audit and accounting within a practice environment.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
