Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Digital Systems Transformation Lead to drive operational efficiency and digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital transformation and experience in leading digital and systems management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of key digital tools and platforms to ensure alignment with business needs and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring all systems comply with relevant security protocols, industry standards, and data protection regulations.
  • Leading the deployment of new systems or digital tools, managing integration challenges and overcoming resistance to change within teams.
  • Developing training programs and providing ongoing support to ensure teams are proficient in using digital tools effectively.
  • Driving system improvements and optimizations using data-driven insights to enhance system performance and contribute to business growth.
  • Staying current with emerging digital technologies and trends, and identifying opportunities to integrate these innovations into the company's digital landscape.
  • Leveraging data analytics to monitor system performance and make informed decisions that drive operational improvements.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Experience in leading digital and systems management, with a deep understanding of digital transformation.
  • Excellent knowledge of system security, compliance standards, and data protection regulations.
  • Experience in project management, especially in implementing new technologies and systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and guide teams.
  • Proficient in data analytics and the use of data-driven insights to optimize systems.

Preferred qualifications and certifications include:

  • Recognised project management qualification such as Prince2 or similar.
  • Systems integration, digital architecture and relational database knowledge or courses.
  • Agile methodology knowledge.

The role is based out of Dartford but will require travel to other locations in the UK. The position sits within our specialist trading group Select Plant Hire and forms a key part of the Laing O'Rourke strategy.
