We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at Medic 365 Limited. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing non-emergency patient transport services to patients who require assistance due to mobility issues, medical conditions, or the need for medical supervision during transit.
Key Responsibilities- Transport Patients Safely and Efficiently: You will be responsible for transporting patients who are medically stable but require assistance to and from their medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
- Provide Personalized Care: You will be responsible for lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance, providing appropriate and necessary assistance for passengers to access the vehicles.
- Communicate Effectively: You will communicate with and manage patients, relatives, carers, and the public in a calm, sensitive, and professional manner.
- Ensure Patient Dignity: You will ensure patient dignity and informed consent for all patient assessment and movement.
- Support End-of-Life Care: You will assist in the transportation of 'end of life' service users, ensuring a high level of empathy at all times.
- Report Safeguarding Matters: You will be aware of the patient's social and environmental condition and report any Safeguarding matters to the appropriate person or body.
- Maintain Infection Prevention and Control Standards: You will comply with cleaning protocols for vehicles, equipment, and garage to ensure company policies and regulatory requirements are met in relation to infection prevention and control standards.
This is a full-time role with a range of shift patterns available, including standard five days per week, four-on-four-off, seven-on-seven-off, and we will also consider applicants available for part-time weekend only work.
