Main Purpose:

As a Terminal Operations Specialist at Impala Terminals, you will be responsible for the safe operation and monitoring of our Theale Oil Terminal, ensuring the efficient import, storage, and distribution of fuels by rail and land.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the traffic desk, handling vehicle loading and offloading of products and related documentation.
  • Operate automated systems within the Control Room, monitoring and testing terminal equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including shutting down and starting up plant operations.
  • Operate gauging, storage tanks, pumps, valves, and pipelines, testing and inspecting products.
  • Ensure compliance with risk assessments and permits to work.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and maintain a strong safety work ethic.

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

You will work within a small team and also alone as part of your shift pattern, interacting with Terminal Drivers, Contractors, and HSE Auditors. A good level of physical fitness is necessary to work a 12-hour, 24/7 shift pattern in an external environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Terminal and Rail Operations (training will be provided).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
