Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services Specialist

Hybrid Working Opportunity

£40k - £60k + Benefits

This role is for a team-playing senior mechanical design engineer or intermediate mechanical design engineer ready to step up to senior level. You will join the MEP team of an established SME design consultancy, working on a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects.

This role will see you working on a hybrid basis or going to the office daily, if that's your preference. The company is committed to high standards of engineering with a focus on sustainability and is proud to produce innovative building services solutions. Project types include mixed-use, commercial, luxury residential, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed design drawings with a specialization in mechanical system design.
  • Prepare technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.
  • Take projects through from inception to completion and handover.
  • Conduct site surveys and attend site progress meetings to review installations.
  • Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
Requirements
  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
  • Have mechanical design experience in the building services sector.
  • Exhibit great interpersonal skills, be a team player, and demonstrate a genuine interest in helping others.
