Seeking Experienced Business Leaders for Exeter Chamber of Commerce Board

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is proud to partner with the Exeter Chamber of Commerce in their search for two highly skilled Non-Executive Directors. As a key member of the Board, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the Chamber and representing the interests of its diverse member base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Chair and Vice Chairs to ensure effective governance and oversight of the Chamber's activities.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director to maintain financial stability and ensure the delivery of services aligns with the Business Plan.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Exeter Chamber Board, representing the organization at events and engaging with members.
  • Focus on delivering value to members, meeting Chamber commitments, and advocating for key issues affecting Exeter and the surrounding area.
  • Support membership recruitment through introductions to potential member organizations and individuals.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a sector specialist role, with a focus on Property (Agency) or Academia/Higher Education.
  • Proven track record as a senior business leader or owner, with operational, functional, and strategic responsibilities.
  • Genuine commitment to the Chamber network and a current member of Exeter Chamber of Commerce or Devon Chamber of Commerce.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong personal and local professional networks.
  • Drive, commitment, and availability to fulfill the necessary time commitments and responsibilities.
