About the Role

Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Forensic Service team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health interventions to service users within a prison setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients in a person-centred way, planning, delivering, and evaluating care within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
  • Work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison, and to liaise with and provide advice and support to, statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Support the team manager in delivering identified objectives in terms of patient care, staff, and service development.
Requirements
  • NMC registration
  • Experience in providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems
  • Ability to undertake mandatory training
