Technical Arts Manager

AWD online is seeking a skilled Technical Arts Manager to join their team in Hedge End, Southampton. As a key member of the staff, you will be responsible for leading technical support for school staff and students using the performing arts facilities.
About the Role
This full-time, permanent position offers an estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum. You will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday, with flexibility required during performance weeks/evening events. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in performance arts, drama, theatre, set design, sound and lighting, and/or current multimedia technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical support for school staff and students using the performing arts facilities
- Ensure the appropriate operation of all lighting and sound equipment for school and community performances
- Advise and provide technical support for Community groups/individuals using the centre and other community facilities, where appropriate
- Take overall responsibility for the development and training of students on site as a technical crew for productions
- Manage the inventory usage of the main hall and auditoriums
- Provide technical support across the school as and when required
- Monitor the effective use of school performing arts equipment and ensure all jobs are booked into the CA techs ticketing system
