We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team at CLD Recruitment. As a Debt Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients and debts in all sectors, from pre-legal to litigation and enforcement proceedings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to negotiate fair and affordable repayment solutions.
  • Manage a designated workload and clients, taking full ownership of their debt recovery process.
  • Meet and exceed billing targets by bringing in fees and promoting the firm's brand.
  • Assist in system and procedural changes to improve debt recovery processes.
  • Provide excellent client management, including reviews and strategy sessions.

Requirements:

  • Previous debt recovery experience or legal experience with full knowledge of the debt recovery process.
  • Strong drafting skills for letters and pleadings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to adapt to different client and debtor requests.
  • Empathy and understanding of client needs.
  • Passion for client service and team player.
  • Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work to achievable targets and understand KPIs in a competitive environment.
