Job Title: Primary School Support Professional
We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our dynamic primary school in Nottinghamshire as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and extensive experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting. You will possess strong communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and have a commitment to inclusive education.
In this role, you will assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, lead small group sessions, and implement targeted intervention programs to support pupils with specific learning needs. You will also assess and monitor progress, manage classroom activities, and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices.
To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for education and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children. You will be required to communicate effectively with parents and carers, participate in ongoing training and development opportunities, and commit to promoting equality and diversity within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities- Support Teaching and Learning: Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, providing support to the class teacher and leading small group sessions.
- Deliver Interventions: Implement targeted intervention programs to support pupils with specific learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assess and Monitor Progress: Assist in the assessment of pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Manage Classroom Activities: Take responsibility for managing classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and school leaders to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Engage with Parents and Carers: Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the learning process.
- Commit to Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
