HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver Job Description

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our team at H&G Recruitment Solutions. As a Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the UK, working with our client based in Kettering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out general haulage duties to UK ports and Distribution Centres
  • Drive HGV trucks safely and efficiently
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and ensure compliance with road regulations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as an HGV Class 1 driver
  • Maximum of 6 points on your license
  • Ideally, a valid RHIDES card
  • Ability to drive HGV trucks safely and efficiently
  • Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
  • Good physical condition to load and unload cargo
