Sous Chef - £26,730

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Sous Chef to become part of the culinary team at Exeter Golf and Country Club, operating within a newly established, state-of-the-art kitchen valued at £500,000.

The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef position will currently be advancing their career as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie within the South West hospitality sector and is eager to elevate their professional journey within a distinguished establishment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: £26,730
  • 28 days of annual leave, with an additional day accrued each year after three years, up to a maximum of 33 days
  • Access to gym facilities, squash courts, tennis courts, and swimming pools after three months of employment

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ level 2 or higher in Professional Cookery
  • Strong customer service orientation to ensure exceptional dining experiences
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
  • Diligent, adaptable, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Main Responsibilities of the Sous Chef

Working in a fully equipped, modern kitchen that caters to a diverse array of culinary styles for our Members Bars, Wear Park Restaurant, and event spaces.

You will contribute to enhancing our food and beverage offerings by consistently striving for excellence and setting a positive example.

This role provides an opportunity to acquire new skills and advance your management and leadership capabilities while collaborating with a dedicated team of skilled chefs. We pride ourselves on preparing everything from scratch, setting us apart from many chain establishments in the vicinity.
