The hiring company is a global business with over four decades of experience and is considered one of the leaders in the field. As the Maintenance Technician, you will work across two sites, repairing equipment, and will be responsible for:

  • Repairing, adjusting, and maintaining equipment to ensure reliable operation and compliance with process specifications.
  • Responding to emergencies, break-downs, malfunctions, and other operating problems, and diagnosing faults to minimize disruptions.
  • Implementing an established maintenance program and maintaining detailed maintenance records to identify recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts.
  • Conducting periodic inspections to evaluate repair requests.
  • Overseeing contractors and ensuring work is carried out to the required standards.
  • Supporting with planning and scheduling maintenance activities, such as planned maintenance programs, shut-downs, or emergency repairs.
  • Fabricating and welding machine components.
  • Supporting with the development and implementation of repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Slinging and carrying out lifting operations as required.
  • Working safely and having a proactive approach to all health & safety and environmental issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a Maintenance Technician, ideally in heavy industry.
  • An NVQ Level 3 or higher.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Welding experience.
  • A willingness to travel to Rotherham around 20% of the time.
