We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gastroenterology Specialist to join our dynamic team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.
- Work closely with other consultants and members of the multi-disciplinary team to develop Gastroenterology services.
- Participate in the undergraduate teaching programme and assist with the development of postgraduate training for junior and middle-grade medical staff.
- Act as Educational Supervisor to junior and middle-grade medical staff, responsible for their appraisal and personal development planning.
- Contribute to the promotion of evidence-based practice and respond appropriately to NICE guidance.
- Undertake and supervise relevant clinical audit topics and be involved in risk management and quality assurance.
- Remain up to date and engaged in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as per RCP guidelines.
- Respond appropriately to complaints and critical incidents.
