About the Position:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities, ensuring they receive the best possible education and care.

Key Tasks:
  • Support students with learning difficulties and disabilities in small groups or one-to-one settings.
  • Assist with lesson planning, resource development, and assessment procedures.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interaction, managing challenging behaviour when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters academic success and well-being.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and other duties as required.


Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in supporting students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • A positive, empathetic, and patient attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Able to commute to the location.

The estimated salary for this role is around £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
