Location: United Kingdom
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to lead the warehouse operations in a leading manufacturing company based in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products, as well as the supervision of a team of warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations: Manage all warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and products, to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory control processes to monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and minimize discrepancies.
- Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe and compliant working environment by implementing health and safety protocols and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain the quality standards of our products, ensuring accurate picking and packing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and storage systems, to guarantee efficient and safe operation.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on inventory, operational efficiency, and other relevant metrics to support decision-making.
- Cost Control: Manage the warehouse budget effectively and seek opportunities for cost-saving measures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and MS Office applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
