Senior Research Lead in Child Psychiatry

About the Role
The successful candidate will lead their own research in psychiatry of child and adolescent psychiatry, promoting collaboration across disciplinary boundaries at UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
They will attract, mentor, and support clinical and non-clinical early career researchers, contributing to the overall scientific mission of the institute.
The postholder will be responsible for specialist teaching duties on postgraduate non-clinical and professional courses, supervising research students and junior staff.
They will have an honorary consultant psychiatrist appointment with North London NHS Foundation Trust, with four clinical sessions in addition to four academic sessions at UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young adults with ADHD or specific training in adult ADHD or neurodevelopmental disorders, with a track record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed scientific journals.
A higher academic career PhD or equivalent attainment in research publications and GMC registration, with a current licence to practice and on the specialist register for Child and Adolescent psychiatry, is essential for this post.
Evidence of obtaining and managing research funds, experience teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and supervising research students are desirable criteria for this role.
