Job Title: Environmental Geographer

About the Position: Academics Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Environmental Geographer to join our vibrant Humanities Department. As an Environmental Geographer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging Geography lessons, developing schemes of work, and encouraging active participation in fieldwork and projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that promote a deep understanding of environmental concepts.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that cater to diverse learner needs.
  • Encourage active participation in fieldwork, projects, and interactive activities to build practical and analytical skills.
  • Support students in their academic journey, preparing them for exams and further study.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school activities, and contribute to a positive school ethos.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • A track record of strong teaching in Geography, with experience of teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • A passion for Geography and commitment to student success.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
