We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Handler to join our Large Loss team. As a Senior Claims Technician, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of complex and high-value claims.
Key Responsibilities- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of Property Claims with a potential of £500K+ from notification through to settlement.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining accurate estimating and controlling indemnity spend.
- Share knowledge and support the development of others in your team and in the wider claims community.
- Build excellent working relationships with Loss Adjusters, solicitors, and other suppliers.
- Regular communication with policyholders and their representatives and underwriting colleagues.
- Extensive experience in handling high-value and complex commercial property claims with a settlement of at least £500k.
- Experience with Household claims, Third Party property claims, and Financial lines would be an advantage but not essential.
- Education to A-Level or degree standard or an equivalent professional qualification (ACII/FCII/CILA).
- Inspiring leader with empathy and flexibility of approach to achieve effective outcomes.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service to customers.
- Developed communication and interpersonal skills and influencing and negotiating skills.
