We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions, we offer end-to-end revenue cycle solutions and a comprehensive suite of point solutions to clients across the country.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented individual to perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital. This role is responsible for assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks, providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, receiving, and processing physician orders, and utilizing an overlay tool while providing excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity / compliance checks
- Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
- Receive and process physician orders and utilize an overlay tool
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable
- Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and staff
- Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurately and timely to meet audit standards
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits and collect point of service collections as well as past due balances
- Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients and obtain necessary signatures and witness's name
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and select the applicable insurance plan code
Requirements:
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
