Job Title: Head of Internal Audit

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Internal Audit to join our team at Balfour Beatty VINCI. As a key member of our Finance and Systems department, you will be responsible for defining and implementing effective internal audit processes and procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement internal audit plans and procedures to ensure compliance with UK Corporate Code of Governance
  • Provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes
  • Work closely with the Finance and Commercial CVA team to ensure audits align with CVA requirements and minimize disallowed costs
  • Collaborate with operational leadership, commercial teams, and finance leadership to ensure audits and controls are monitored, challenged, and improved
Requirements:
  • Strong academic background and qualified accountant with at least 10 years of PQE
  • Proven track record of promotion in previous organizations and experience of operating at Senior Executive/Board level
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to gain trust and respect at all levels of the organization
  • Independent and objective, with a strong commitment to ethics, compliance, and integrity
