Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity in West Sussex

We are seeking a highly skilled General Adult consultant psychiatrist to join our West Sussex Care Delivery Service on a fixed-term basis for one year. The role is based in Jade Ward, which provides in-patient care and treatment for adults.

This exciting opportunity attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to a relocation allowance of up to £8,000. The payment is pro rata for part-time employees.

  • £5,000 payment on appointment
  • £5,000 retention payment at 12 months
  • £6,500 retention payment at 30 months
  • £8,500 retention payment at 48 months

As a consultant psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to join the Trust-wide consultant network and access peer support from colleagues in West Sussex.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice
  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the post within the NHS or comparable service
