About the Role
This highly respected financial institution is expanding its London office and seeking a Junior Java Engineer to contribute to the development of their world-class FX trading platform. As a Junior Java Engineer, you will collaborate with expert engineers to enhance and innovate trading solutions, working on low-level Java development in a dynamic, high-performance environment. You will also gain exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, pair programming, and TDD.

Tech Stack
The tech stack includes Core Java, multithreading, low-latency systems, AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, TDD, Agile, and CI/CD. To succeed in this role, you should have junior level commercial hands-on experience with Core Java development, a solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, or low-latency programming, and a strong desire to develop in a low-level Java environment in public cloud environments (AWS/GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD environments and practices such as pair programming or TDD is also beneficial.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus a bonus of 25-50%. The company also offers benefits including 3 days onsite work per week in the City of London.
