About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing, as well as providing excellent customer service to our patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire dispensing process, ensuring accuracy and safety in handling and distributing pharmaceuticals
- Check and prepare medication orders, maintaining accurate administrative records
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, delivering courteous and effective customer service
- Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment, receiving, storing, and issuing medications and other supplies
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure adequate stock levels, providing healthcare advice and signposting customers to appropriate resources when necessary
Requirements
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- NVQ3 qualification
- Completed the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services or an accredited equivalent qualification
- Prior experience in a customer-focused environment
