About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Administrator to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience in pensions administration and a strong background in IT.

Job Summary:

  • Contribute to annual projects, working closely with the team to ensure successful outcomes;
  • Stay up-to-date on procedural developments, applying this knowledge to improve processes and procedures;
  • Deliver informal training and mentoring sessions to enhance colleagues' skills and confidence;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, handling internal and external telephone queries with professionalism and efficiency;
  • Carry out manual benefits calculations and produce ad-hoc letters as required;
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc projects, collaborating with the team to achieve shared goals;
  • Support the team with project-related work, providing administrative assistance as needed;
  • Update pension administration databases accurately and efficiently;
  • Deal with pensions queries from scheme members, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions;
  • Interact with DWP and HMRC, maintaining positive relationships with these key stakeholders;
  • Contribute to non-client related work, supporting the team's overall objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in pensions administration, particularly in Defined Benefit schemes;
  • A strong educational background, ideally a graduate or equivalent qualification;
  • Familiarity with current pensions legislation and regulations;
  • Excellent IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • A commitment to learning and professional development;
  • A competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience;
