RSK Group, a leading provider of geotechnical services, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Hemel Hempstead, UK.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that offers a unique chance to work on a wide range of geotechnical projects across the UK. As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects, demonstrating technical, commercial, and site management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in site investigation work across the UK, working closely with project managers and other project staff.
  • Conduct preliminary risk assessments and intrusive ground investigations, adhering to RSK procedures and meeting cost budgets and time scales.
  • Collaborate with project staff and clients to provide updates and address any issues that arise.
  • Undertake soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  • Compile data and write reports to a high standard.
Person Specification
  • Previous site work experience is an advantage, particularly in trial pitting and drilling supervision.
  • BSc degree level qualified in geology, civil engineering, or a related environmental subject is essential.
  • MSc in a geotechnical, civil engineering, or environmental discipline is desirable.
  • Ability to log samples to BS 5930 A2 technical standards.
  • Good knowledge of the principal soil and rock strata encountered in the UK.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
