Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the University of Glasgow. The successful candidate will provide effective administrative support for operational processes, maintaining the smooth running of our College.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible administrative and clerical support within the School of Modern Languages & Cultures Administrative Office.
  • Offer high-quality reception support, handling all enquiries and redirecting as necessary.
  • Support the administration of courses across the School, including general course administration and admissions processes.
  • Assist with the production of teaching materials, updating handbooks, web, and Moodle materials.
  • Liaise with Overseas Agents to arrange commission payments and assist with school purchasing activities.
  • Support student recruitment, seminars, and other School events management, collaborating with administrative colleagues.

Requirements

  • A1 SCQF Level 4 (National 4) or equivalent in English and Mathematics, and relevant work experience.
  • C1 Accuracy and attention to detail, C2 Good IT skills with Microsoft Office software, C3 Good time management skills, and ability to prioritize a busy workload.
  • Excellent administrative and secretarial skills, effective written and oral communication skills, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, under supervision, or as part of a team, meeting agreed deadlines in a time-constrained environment.

Benefits
