Job Title: Public Law Solicitor

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is a leading law firm in the UK, recognized for its expertise in Public Law, Immigration, and Judicial Review. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Law Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on Public Law matters
  • Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers to ensure effective case management
  • Assist in delivering training and development programs for the department
  • Deal with a range of Public Law work, including unlawful detention, false imprisonment, and asylum support
  • Prepare draft documents, including witness statements and evidence
  • Attend conferences and court hearings
  • Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
Key Skills:
  • Law Society Immigration Accreditation and Supervisor (desirable)
  • Valid Practicing Certificate
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Ability to work with vulnerable clients and resolve complex practicalities
  • Excellent networking and marketing skills
  • Working knowledge of the Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters
