CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator - Milling

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our team in Egham. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. CNC Programming: Utilize Fanuc and Sinumerik controls to program 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
  2. Offline Programming: Use EDGECAM for offline programming to enhance machining efficiency and precision.
  3. Machine Setup & Production: Set up machines, produce first-off components, and ensure all specifications and tolerances are met.
  4. Documentation: Create detailed machine setup documentation for consistency and future use.
  5. Process Improvement: Stay informed about cutting-edge technology and suggest new processes to improve machining practices.
  6. Project Management: Collaborate with management to meet production deadlines and address potential issues proactively.
  7. Technical Support: Aid in developing technical solutions to production issues.
  8. Quality Assurance: Work with Engineering and Quality teams to uphold high-quality standards and compliance with procedures.
  9. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Team Support: Support and mentor team members as needed.
  11. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating, preferably in aerospace.
  2. Proficiency with CAD/CAM offline programming using EDGECAM.
  3. Experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
  4. Ability to edit programs with Fanuc and Sinumerik controls.
  5. Competence in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools.
  6. Familiarity with Metric and Imperial measurements.
  7. Strong computer skills and methodical work approach.
